Trip to Rättvik / レッドヴィークへ Dec.23

Today we went to rent a car in the afternoon.  Then we started to drive to Rättvik in Dalarna County in the early evening.

Since I don't own a car, this is the first time driving in Sweden :p

And it's been about 15 years to drive on the right side since I lived in the US.

I only drove in Japan lately so I was little bit nervous but it went very well though once I started to drive.

Even though it was, of course, totally dark when we left home around 17:00, I only needed to follow Simba family's car and saved a lot of trouble finding the right way and driving somewhere unfamiliar to me.

You know the blinker switch and the wiper switch are on the other side in Japan, meaning the blinker on the right side and the wiper is on the left side.

So I put on the wiper couple of time when I wanted to turn on the blinker. lol

I did exactly the same thing when I started to drive in Japan because I started to drive in the US at first.

Anyways, Rättvik is where we came in summer.  It's where Simba's grandma lives.  This is Kaiya's second time and Mato's first time coming here.

We decided to spend the Christmas in the country this year!

After 3 and half hour drive, we finally arrived at grandma's!

Simba'd already arrived here 2 weeks ago.  We got a big welcome from Simba :))))


今日は午後にレンタカーを借りに行って　夕方からダーラナ地方のレットヴィークへ出発！！

車を持ってないから　実は初めてスウェーデンで運転します（笑）

そして右側走行はアメリカに住んでた頃以来だから・・・１５年ぶりくらいwww

最近は日本に帰った時しか運転してなかったし　ちょいとドキドキ。

しかも出発したのが１７時だったから　もちろん真っ暗。

だけど　一緒にレッドヴィークに向かうシンバファミリーの車の後をついて行くだけだったから　道に迷うこともなく安心＆楽チーン！

運転し始めたらこっちのものだったけど　ウインカーのスイッチが逆側だから　ちょいちょいワイパーをオンにしてしまった（笑）

昔　日本で運転し始めた頃にもアメリカと逆だから同じことした覚えがある(°▽°)　あるあるだよねぇ〜。

ダーラナ地方のレッドヴィークは夏にKaiyaも来たことがある　シンバのおばあちゃんのいるところで〜す！Kaiyaは２回目で　Matoにとっては初めてのレッドヴィーク。

今年のクリスマスはみんなで田舎で過ごすことにしたのぉ〜。

運転すること３時間半くらいだったかな。やっと着いた。

シンバは２週間前に先入りしてたから　久しぶりに会うKaiyaとMatoを大喜びで迎えてくれたよぉ！

Kaiya who doesn't like car ride must be tired.
車に乗り慣れないKaiyaさんは緊張してお疲れかなぁ〜。

長い車の旅で　腹減ったぁ〜！（笑）ちなみにMatoです。

We ate dinner and took a walk after.  They ran and played in the garden ;)))

I couldn't take good photos because it was too dark outside.  I'll take a lot of photos and put them up tomorrow!


夕飯食べて　みんなでお散歩行って　お庭で走り回って遊んだよぉ〜！
