Midsommar!

Today is the midsummer!

Or midsommar in Swedish.

After today, it's gonna get darker and darker again... :(

Now there's still light in the sky even around 11pm.

I really like it but what can I say.  It's Sweden.

The cold and dark season takes the most of the year :p

Well, this weekend a lot of Swedish people celebrate the midsummer

in the countryside where their summer houses are.

But we don't have a summer house...yet...I hope...

we went to one of our friends house to have midsummer dinner together.

By the way, midsummer eve is called midsommarafton in Swedish.

Midsommarafton is not really a holiday that's marked as red day on the calendar

but it is almost a red day in Sweden.

That's why daddy and I have Friday, Saturday, Sunday off from work.

今日は夏至祭。

Midsommar(ミッドソンマル)ってスウェーデン語で言います。

今までどんどん日が長くてなって

夜の１１時くらいまで暗くならなかったけど

今日を過ぎるとまた日が短くなりまぁす。

またダークな冬へ向かうのだ・・・もっと夏が長ければいいのに・・・。

ってことでこの週末はみんな町から離れて

サマーハウスのある田舎の方へ行ったりしてお祝いする人が多いかなd(￣ ￣)

うちはサマーハウスを持ってないから

昨日友達のお家でお食事〜。

ちなみに昨日ミッドソンマルの前日を

Midsommarafton(ミッドソンマルアフトン)と言います（＾◇＾）

ミッドソンマルアフトンはカレンダー上　祝日じゃないから

本当は普通の日なんだけど　一般的に祝日扱い。

そのおかげで　ダディも私も金、土、日ってお休みで〜す！

Kaiya's favorite uncle Kay's brother Sami and his girlfriend Malin 

invited us to their new house to have dinner!

Of course, uncle Kay and his family were there, too :)

They have beautiful garden and two-storied cozy house!

Here they are!

These are the typical midsummer feast dishes

such as pickled herrings, potatoes, smoked salmons,

skagenröra which is a creamy prawn cocktail, etc.

じゃじゃじゃん！

ミッドソンマルによく食べられるもの勢ぞろい。

ニシンの酢漬け、ポテト、スモークサーモン、

スカーゲンローラ（エビのディル風味マヨネーズ和え）などなど。

In the little bawls, there are different kinds of pickled herrings.
My favorite is with mustered but there are also with lemon, dill, spicy one, and so on.
器に入ってるのはいろんな種類のニシンの酢漬けで〜す！
私の好きなのはマスタードだけど、レモン風味、ディル風味、辛めのだったりいろいろあります！

Little break and  little exercise after eating :p

食べた後は少し休憩アンド運動〜（笑）

It was appetizers.

Here comes the main!

We grilled the meat outside in the garden!

We ate too much....couldn't move! lol

Kaiya also had her dinner and we all were chilling in the living room.

満腹。

Kaiyaもご飯食べたから　みんなでまたもお腹を休めるのに休憩〜（笑）

She didn't take a nap at all since there were a lot of people.

I guess she was exhausted.

When we were having dessert, she fell asleep :)

今日は一日中お昼寝してなかったからねぇ

疲れたみたいで　みんなでデザート食べてる時に

隅っこでおちてた(⌒-⌒)
