Nose work (step.2) 3 / ノーズワーク(ステップ２) ３ Oct. 10

We had the last class of the Nose Work step 2.

ノーズワーク・ステップ２の最後のクラスに行って来たよ〜！

向かってる途中の電車の中で。やる気満々Mato（笑）

At first, we had four different type of search with only using laurel: glass containers on the floor, plastic containers on the floor, magnets on the fridge, and lined tea infusers on the rope.

This lined tea infuser search was the most difficult one!

The target odor is in one of the tea infusers and because the odor spreads in the air, everyone was having hard time finding the target!

今回のクラスではターゲット臭は月桂樹のみを使用。まずは４種類の違ったものに入ったターゲット臭をそれぞれ順番に。ガラスの容器、プラスチックの容器、冷蔵庫にくっついてるマグネット、ロープに並べて吊るした茶こし。

この茶こしは難しかったぁ〜！網だから臭いが空気中に広がって　ターゲット臭の元にたどり着くのが困難になるらしく　みんな悪戦苦闘してた。

We also did some search outside.

外でもいくつか練習したよぉ〜！

Now we are completed the Step 2.  Maybe we can take Step 3 class later but now I think we gonna practice at home for a while :)

It was really fun and nice experience for Mato, too ;)))

これでステップ２終了〜！暫くはうちで練習してもっともっとうまくなるぞ〜！ステップ３のクラスは後々ね(^ ^)

なかなか楽しかった！Matoもクラスに通っていい経験ができてよかった( ＾∀＾)

Rainy weekend / 雨の週末 Oct. 08

It was raining whole weekend in Stockholm.

Thanks to this non-stop rain, we couldn't take a long walk at all.

That's why we became couch potatoes.  lol

週末は雨なストックホルムだったよぉ〜！

ずーっと降りっぱで長い散歩にも行けず・・・

Actually it wasn't raining on Saturday morning so we could take a walk little longer than usual.

We were so lucky...as soon as we got home, it started to rain!

土曜日の朝は雨が降る前に散歩に行けたから　ちょっと長めの散歩で楽しめたよぉ〜！

帰って来たて早々に雨が降り出したから　ちょーラッキー！

I almost fell, almost dropped my phons and the cards in the phone case flew out.

This morning!

We came to the dog park...but seems like somebody wanna leave already. ;p

Quiz / クイズ Oct. 05

Chilli's mama Carina had to work early so we were on our own this morning.

Thought we could take a walk to some other place than we usual go ;)

 Here's another quiz.

In the photo below, Kaiya and Mato are staring at Simba which I don't think you can really see him in this photo.

I thought I heard my name so I looked back and there they were.  Simba and his mom Patrya were walking towards us!

If you can find where Simba is, you might get Simba's shed fur ;p...Acutally I don't know if he sheds...but I know he gets groomed time to time and they trim so much fur!!

そして　じゃじゃん！！

2人が凝視している先には　シンバがいるんだけど　この写真だとわかんないかなぁ〜。

なんか呼ばれた気がして振り向いたら　シンバとシンバのママのパトリアがこっちに向かって来てたの〜！

シンバがどこにいるかわかったら　もれなくシンバのモフ毛プレゼント！！・・したいけどなぁ〜・・・プレゼントしたいほど毛がいっぱいなシンバだけどなぁ〜。

Kanelbullensdag / キャネルブレンズダーグ Oct. 4

Has anyone heard about Cinnamon Bun Day?

It's celebrated in Sweden on October 4th every year.

Swedes love cinnamon buns and it's called kanelbulle in Swedish.

So on this Kanelbullensdag or Cinnamon Bun Day, you "fika" with cinnamon buns or just have it anytime and eat as much as you want!! ;p

You can't resist it because you see cinnamon buns everywhere on this day ;))))

I, myself, bought a dozen of cinnamon buns and brought to work :)

スウェーデンでは　毎年１０月４日はシナモンロールの日！

Kanelbullensdag(キャネルブレンズダーグ）と言って　シナモンロールを食べてお祝い（？）する日！

ちなみにシナモンロールはスウェーデン語でKanelbulle(カネルブッレ)と言って　スウェーデンの人に愛されてて　どこのカフェやスーパーやベーカリーやコンビニにも必ず置いてるもの。

この日はいつも以上に　シナモンロールがいっぱい売ってる。

なので私もシナモンロールを買って職場に持っていったぜよ〜！

Kaiya and Mato had a nice walk with Chilli as usual in the morning!

His mom Carina showed us a real nice place where it's secluded and perfect for dogs to be off leashed.

Kaiya and Mato got pretty happy.   They sprinted and showed off how fast they could run to Carina who was very amazed ;)) ...couldn't get it on the video when they were running wild though :(

さてさて　KaiyaとMatoは　いつものように朝はシリぃとお散歩〜！

シリィのママ　カリーナになかなか広くてちょっと隔離されてる場所を教えてもらって　KaiyaとMatoは大喜びで全力疾走してたよ〜ん！・・・ビデオは撮り損ねたけど(^^;)

Nose work (step.2) 2 / ノーズワーク(ステップ２) ２ Oct. 03

Time for Nose work!!

The first half of the class, we did some exercises with the eucalyptus odor as last time.

ノーズワークのクラスに行って来たよぉ〜！！

まず最初はユーカリの匂いで見つける練習。

4つの入れ物のどれかに入っているターゲット臭を当てる練習。

Then we moved on to the new target odor, laurel.  

At first, we each got a little container which had the target odor inside.  When the dogs sniff on it, then we gave them treat.  Just like the exercise we did in the very first class of the Step 1.

After doing it for 2 sets of 10 reps, we practiced the line up method with new odor.

それから新しいターゲット臭の月桂樹で練習！

ステップ１のクラスで一番最初にやったみたいに　容器にターゲット臭を入れて　それをクンクン嗅いだらご褒美の繰り返しの１０回を２セットほどして　ラインアップ法で月桂樹の匂い当て！

You know, I'm amazed how quickly dogs learned what to do.  Since we've already been through the steps with eucalyptus, most of the dogs found the target oder without problem after we'd changed it to laurel.

Which includes Mato.  Mato found it easily and told me clearly which one it was :)))

犬って本当賢いよなぁ〜。

ちゃんと何をするのかしっかり理解できてて　ターゲット臭が変わってもみんなちゃんと当てることができてた〜！

もちろんMatoもしっかりターゲット臭を見つけて教えてくれたよ( ＾∀＾)

I left Kaiya at Simba's while we were gone for the class.

Simba's human brother Per was playing in the soccer game in the evening.  Mato and I went there directly after the class and reunited with Kaiya ;)))

Already October / もう１０月 Oct. 01

Time goes so fast!!! It's already October!!

It's getting colder colder everyday and days are getting shorter and shorter in Stockholm.  But we had such a sunny and refreshing morning today!

We took a nice and long walk and stopped at a little dog park away from home.

早い。今日からもう１０月だぁ〜。

日が短くなったり寒くなってるストックホルムだけど　今日は太陽が出ていいお天気！

今朝はゆったり長めのお散歩。

家から離れたとこにある　ドッグランでちょいと遊んだよ。

It gets dark earlier and earlier lately.  We are definitely heading to our usual dark winter.

After taking a walk in the evening, we stopped by Simba's home and ate dinner there :)
